Well, this guy went and did it. He changed his middle name from Michael to Megatron. Go read the interview.

I've loved Transformers since I was a kid although I lost that love as I got older. When I heard about the live action movie it brought it all back. I love the animated shows, the toys and can't wait for the movie. Everything I've seen of the movie so far gets me tremendously excited.

I don’t understand why this brings out such an emotional reaction in so many of you. Personally, I think it’s an awesome decision. How on earth anyone could perceive “Michael” as a better name than “Megatron” is beyond me. More common, perhaps, but certainly not better. To all of you that would call this man a “loser”, I would propose that you have absolutely no sense of humor or are jealous that you didn’t think of it first. Seriously, it’s only his middle name. I would consider changing my first or last name to Megatron if it weren’t for shallow, personality-deficient “people” like the those that post here who all too often find themselves on the receiving end of my resume. Transformers is an awesome story, and no less plausible than the religious texts many of you likely derive your own names from. If you’re going to insult this man you should explain why you find his choice so distasteful because I honestly can’t conceive of an intelligible reason to object to his decision. I admire you, Megatron, too few of us are willing to dare to be different because of the overwhelming negativity held by so many exemplified in this forum. G-d bless.
