WTF….!! Was michael bay on drugs when he made this movie or what?? When did bumblebee become a mustang?? If i remember correctly from the original cartoon, he was a VW.. So when did the morph happen?? If michael bay couldn’t get the rights from VW, then he should have left him out of the movie not change him just to suite him and make money for the corporate doushbags who funded this pathetic live action movie.. What the hell happened to optimus prime, when did hot wheels get in on the act and develop him into something that only target and kmart would sell?? Optimus prime never had flames on the front.. He was just a simple truck, when did xzibit and west coast customs come in and pimped him up?? And whats with megatron?? Who ripped off the face of guyver and put him on megatrons?? The makers of guyver will be pissed..!! What, will a little kid start screaming guyver, guyver, guyver and turn himself in megatron or something..?? I can see a lawsuite coming on..

Jeez, i wish micahel bay asked the transformers fans on how to make this movie rather then doing it himself.. I can just imagine what grimlock would look like, if he makes an appearance, if indeed in the next two sequels?? What would he be a godzilla rip off?? Or maybe he’ll look like something more like gamera.. Afterall, michael bay changed every other god damn transformer from their original states.. What about hound, he was a military jeep, what will he be in the movie, a range rover or maybe a toyota landcruiser?? What about mirage, he was a F1 racer, what will he be in the movie, a dodge viper?? What about perceptor, he was a microscope, what would he look like in the movie, the hubble telescope or something?? This is a pointless movie cashing in on the transformers brand name.. Hollywood obvioulsy have run out of ideas, just like peter jackson re-doing king kong?? I mean for f**k sake, how many times can king kong be made, don’t people know that he died in king kong lives..

My opinion is that the movie had to be changed up to come across as a movie and not a cartoon. I’m ok with the changes and can’t wait for the movie.

I do understand your points though and respect your opinions. So have you seen any trailers? Do you really think they look terrible?

Im just pissed off at the fact that he changed all the characters to something totally different.. Im not Bay bashing, it’s just why change them..?? Why?? Fair enough, he wanted it to look like a movie not a cartoon, but to change them?? I ask the question again.. Why?? They are my only gripes, nothing more.. And i have seen the trailers, and im pretty disappointed.. I mean im not old fashioned, but i grew up with the transformers, i know how they look like etc.. So i like them the way they were back in G1, not the way Michael Bay depicts them in this movie.. If he left them in the original G1 forms, and added CGI to make them more beleivable then this movie would be awesome.. To me this movie isn’t transformers, i’d rather watch the animated series of gobots or mighty machine men..

Yo w00kie, I see what you’re saying, but still. Optimus is still a truck, just has a different paint job. Jazz is a pontiac, yeah, bumblebee is a camaro, yeah, that’s lame but it’s just not that important to me.

I mean if they seriously wanted optimus to look fully sick, they should have put him in movies like tokyo drift, where he wouldn’t feel out of place.. Since after all, all the cars where pimped up etc..

Im not having a go at you, but if you were a real transformers fan, you’d be just as annoyed as I, about them being changed to something that clearly looks nothing like G1.. And as for mighty machine men, they are gay, i mean who’d watch a transformers rip off with a gay scooter and a batmobile rip off who transforms into a butch robotic female with a throat infection anyway??

Hey now, it’s incredibly insulting to say I’m not a real Transformers fan. Just because we don’t agree we still both have great interest in the Transformers universe.

I love the way they look from the movie. I love they way they look in G1, Beast Wars, Cybertron, etc. I love it all. I don’t need it to match G1 for me to love it.

Tokyo drift, ha ha, Optimus’ paint job would fit right in with that shitty hulk car.

Sorry dude.. Im just disappointed that transformers have turned out the way they have in this movie.. It’s incredibly insulting from a transformers fan that they could get it so wrong..

But on the topic of that hulk car, damn it was so gay.. Trust lil’ Bow Wow to drive something so wimpy and gay.. What would have been a fitting entrance for the hulk car, is the gay music from the blue oyster bar from police academy.. The sad thing is though, optimus would probably out drift them anyway if he got the chance..

Strange, they look so different from G1.. For a start, when did pontiac start making porsche’..?? Also bumblebee looks awfully familiar to a mustang not the cute little yellow VW, that we all have grown to love..?? As for the reasons behind the change, well, no one has been able to give me a straight answer.. Maybe Michael Bay and Steven Speilberg should come on this site and answer questions about their lack of transformers knowledge.. Maybe then, my question will be answered..

does anyone think the character chip chase could possibly be in one of the sequels, just throwing the idea out there

hold it wookie the “paper fan thing” is a really nasty remark (even if MANY seems to be a little misguided on ther loyalties to G1 by being dazzled by such special effects even after watching)

in the bay movie PRIME IS WEAK and not a match for megatron. the message of good and evil are equal is not as strong in this movie..

I’d love to lock them in a room with nothing but a television and a dvd player with the entrire series of G1 and make them have to wtach it non stop for 2 years…

I fear that every fan would jump ship IF someone would make a realistic
trasnformer movie that was true to the G1 forms, plost,realism conventions
and so forth (even if the mass shifting thing is not included)
