As most Transformers fans know, when the new movie trailer was released at the end of December a viral promotional site was simultaneously discovered.  Using supreme sleuthing skills many superfans noticed a reference to Sector Seven and a reference to Takara.

This lead the willing to SectorSeven.org.  Using the referenced password ‘takara83′ opened a secret interface to a covert government organization.  After clicking around you’ll discover a video, a PDF and two images.

The site is interesting and could be a great way for fans to interact and become part of the story.  Unfortunately, similar to the webmaster program, this site hasn’t been updated in nearly a month.  The studio marketers need to realize that to keep people interested and coming back for more, that content is king.  Give people  reason to come back.  Secret updates that tempt our curiosity are a sure fire way to keep people talking and create buzz.

This halfhearted effort needs improvement.
