IESB interviewed Shia LaBeouf and he mentioned that the first cut of the movie that was sent to the MPAA came back as rated R for intense action / violence and steamy robot sex. Ok, maybe not the sex part.

Spielberg went in, threw his nuts on the desk and they immediately gave it PG-13. DON’T MESS WITH SPEILBERG, HE KNOWS CHUCK NORRIS.

He says that a cut of the film went to the MPAA and came back with big rated R attached.

I've loved Transformers since I was a kid although I lost that love as I got older. When I heard about the live action movie it brought it all back. I love the animated shows, the toys and can't wait for the movie. Everything I've seen of the movie so far gets me tremendously excited.
