In this interview at about.com Shia LaBeouf expounds on what a challenge it was to film the Transformers movie.  The interview mainly concerns his work on Bobby but he discusses the Transformers on page 4.

It’s a very ‘between the lines’ kind of interview where he calls Michael Bay a hardass then the next line talks about filming Transformers 2 & 3.  You can tell he’s a bit conflicted but knows who signs his checks.

People go to f**king war, it’s not like I have a hard job. I’m an actor. It’s not the worst thing. We’re sitting at a pool, I didn’t pay for those shoes, I didn’t pay for this. It’s not a bad life, and for a guy that didn’t have s**t going on. There’s certain pains; it’s a tradeoff like anything. There’s things you don’t want to do in your industry.”

Shia goes on to speculate that the movie is his ‘Lord of the Rings’.  I’m not sure, but I hope it’s 1/10 as enjoyable.
