Emily C. gave us a heads up about an article and interviews with ILM folks. Go check it out, it’s a cool read and talks about the awesome complexity involved in the CGI. Towards the end is a funny tidbit about Furbys.

There is a massive explosion and we?re standing around and we start to look around and there is still smoke lingering and you look up on the ledges and you start to see the hundreds of Furbys that they shot off…then we are stuck with all these burning Furbys up on the sides of the buildings. It is something you don?t think about at the time but of course they have the fire truck standing by, you?ve got the street littered with Furbys, and they are dousing them down.

I've loved Transformers since I was a kid although I lost that love as I got older. When I heard about the live action movie it brought it all back. I love the animated shows, the toys and can't wait for the movie. Everything I've seen of the movie so far gets me tremendously excited.
