Bernie Mac plays a used car salesman in the upcoming Transformers movie. Now, let’s be honest, if Bernie Mac wasn’t an actor he’d probably be a used car salesman. Art imitating life indeed. So anyway, it’s a short interview and he doesn’t know Michael Bays’ name. So that’s good.

I got a chance to have some fun and Michael Mann (he meant Bay) - man, I’ve been fortunate, man, because every director allows Bernie Mac to do his thing. I have not been handcuffed since my career started from Ted Demme; every time a director, every time we’d do it straight, they always tell me, ‘Now Bernie Mac it.’ That’s a luxury, you know.

Disclaimer: In spite of myself, I find him hilarious even though Shawn abhors his habit of speaking of himself in the third person.
