Hasbro signs 12-brand apparel licensing deal
Directly after announcing a focus on it’s own brands, Hasbro licenses Steve & Barry’s to sell $8 sweatshirts.
PAWTUCKET – HPG, the licensing arm of Hasbro Inc. (NYSE: HAS), Tuesday announced it has signed an agreement for an apparel collection to appear in Steve & Barry’s stores nationwide this spring and fall. The deal includes 12 well-known Hasbro brands, the largest lineup HPG has ever granted a single apparel licensee.
I’m still in awe of how S&B’s manufactures decent quality clothes and can afford to license big ticket brands such as Transformers and still sell everything in their stores for < $10. Amazing sweatshop ingenuity I guess.
I’m not complaining too much, I’m wearing S&B jeans right now.
