Transformers: Animated Character Still
I don’t know, at first glance they look corny, but after some more looking and comparing to the awesome Clone Wars series which had similar character design I think it might be ok. Either way, I can’t wait to check it out!
Transformers: Animated is an upcoming animated series based on the shape-changing robot toy line, Transformers.

They look more like superheroes?
Ah clone wars, If only you werent cheezy in script as well..
I’m not sure about the look of them in the new cartoon. I’m sure w00kie will hate it.
That’s unfair to say that i will hate it..
I don’t hate everything “transformers”, i just hate everything after G1… that’s all..
They do look like superheroes, and like yourself shawn I’m not sure about the look of them, but at least they look better then the live action designs.. But they do look kinda cool, however, i wanna see the finished product on TV first before i make further judgments..
I’m definitely curious about them for sure w00kie…
I’ll give it a chance. Is george Lucas cashing in on this?
I mean look at his starwars “transformers” line.
I’m sure George Lucas is getting money from some aspect. He’s been stealing my money for years.
I just watched the intro’s on YouTube, and just to make sure I don’t steal anyone’s thunder, the show does look too much like a super hero cartoon–it very closely resembles the Teen Titans currently running on Cartoon Network, and not closely enough related to the original. I do think that the designs look pretty slick, and for the most part the new vehicles are pretty creative. It just doesn’t feel right having the Autobot “team” walking away from having put out a building fire and having a hoard of people cheering and clapping without any reservations to these giant aliens who “claim” to be their friends. Even further, I think that the anime genre has bled too far into everything else that’s animated nowadays. Here, the roots are clearly from anime, and it borrows only the most cliche aspects of the whole style–the fast-action, all-taking-place-in-a-wind-tunnel battle scenes. It’s weird to say it, but I think I prefer the TF:Armada/Energon/Cybertron cartoons.
The cartoon’s OK but I prefer the older ones too…
